~Nabemono(なべもの)~

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, How's your iman today? Don't forget your Quran and Ibadah!!

OK, as i promise you from the last entry. Here is some info about Nabemono.
Nabemono(なべもの)comes from word nabe (cooking pot) and mono (things, kinds, stuffs) which is preferably called as NABE. Well, in easy term, it is a japanese steamboat dish. The difference between Japanese steamboat and other countries steamboat is the soup base. There are varieties of soup bases in Japanese Nabemono.

So, without further a due. Here is the recipe of one of the soup base of nabemono:^^

Tanpa lengah lagi, ni resipi salah satu dari sup asas nabemono die:^^

Soup base (Sup asas):

ingredients (bahan-bahan):

50 gm sesame seed (50gram biji bijan)
2 tbsp sesame oil (2 sudu besar minyak bijan)
1 tsbp fish sauce or squid sauce (1 sudu makan sos ikan atau sotong)
1 1/2 tsp salt (1 1/2 sudu kecil garam)
1 cube chicken stock (1 kiub stok ayam)

Directions (cara-cara):

1. Boil water and put in all the ingredients. (didihkan air dan masukkan semua bahan)
2. Let it boils again. (biarkan ia mendidih lagi).
3. Then, you can put any food that you like (make sure that it is suitable though). Lepas tu, boleh la masukkan makanan kesukaan korang yang bersesuaian dengan stimbot ni.
4. Then, let it boils again until all the food cooked. (biarkan ia mendidih sampai makanan masak).
5. Eat when its still hot. (makan ketika masih panas)

Tips: If you dont know what to put in the soup, here are some of the ingredients that i had used (kalau korang x tau nak letak ape, ni ade sedikit bahan-bahan yang boleh dimasukkan ):

1.Carrot (Lobak Merah)
2.Shrimp (udang)
3.Squid (sotong)
4.beansprout (taugeh)
5.shittake mushroom or oyster mushroom
6.scallion
7.beancurd (tauhu)

another tips: There are two ways of eating and making nabemono (ade 2 care nak makan dan masak bende ni)-

1. You can cook all the food while you are eating (just like when you eat steamboat at restaurant. but you have to make sure that the soup base has been prepared earlier)
korang boleh je masak makan tu sambil korang makan (cam korang makan kat restoren stimbot. Tapi kene pastikan yang sup asas tu dah masak dulu)

2. You can cook all the food together with the soup base and present it during dinner. same like when you cook ordinary soup. Know what i mean?
korang boleh je masak terus makanan tu dengan sup asas tu. Pastu hidang je time nak makan, macam korang wat sup biase tu. Paham kan??

~Lets try~
~Selamat Mencuba~

p/s:

During this fasting month, i want to share quote from our beloved Prophet Muhammad.

"From Anas bin Malikthe Prophet Muhammad break the fast with some fresh dates before performing prayer (Maghrib). If there is no fresh dates, Prophet Muhammad will break the fast with dried datesIf there is no dry datesProphet Muhammad sips some water."

    (Abu Daud and Tirmidhi).
